Zantedeschia rehmannii

Engler 1883

This is a medium size species with lanceolate leaves and pink spathes. It blooms in late spring.
During dormancy from autumn till the next spring it should be kept in 10-15°C.

The typical form.
A form with white spathes. White-spathed Z. rehmannii are presented in separate pages.
The inflorescence.
The spadix.
An immature infructescence.
Seeds are ready to be sown.
The 3-month seedlings.
The tubers.
I discourage buying Zantedeschia in pots in florist shops, they are often treated with the giberellic acid GA3
it causes abundance of inflorescences, sometimes with more than one spathe (see the photo on the right).
Their tubers get usually totally exploited, when the plants go dormant,
there are often no tubers at all in the pots.
