In the spring of 2002 it was 55 cm tall.
A year later it was 110 cm.
Emerging of a new leaf. There are only few plants in the class Liliopsida with pinnate leaves.

This is what remains when a leaf dies.

Male flowers.
Female flowers with round stigmata.
3-4 days after the opening of the inflorescence the stigmata hide
and the male flowers begin to produce pollen.
