Pinellia pedatisecta

Schott 1857

This is the largest Pinellia. A leaf can be 35 cm wide and an inflorescence 45 cm tall.

I've got seeds in July 2004.
The first season: Two first leaves were entire, then consisted of 3 and 5 leaflets.
The leaf emerges together with the inflorescence in May.
The appendix is incredibly long and attenuate.
A pollinated inflorescence.
Ripening fruits in July. There's one seed in one fruit.
It produces many leaves and to 3 inflorescences from one tuber.
The seeds germinate in the same year, usually in September.
